First Day of School

I can finally take some time to write about my experience so far. PLANE: First off over packing was a mistake that I had to pay for 300 dollars! I should have just taken another suitcase and paid less. If you ever fly Korean Air. Make sure you're a size like 2 if you sit in an exit row seat because they are not adjustable. The rest of the plane is but I was in the exit row and have the bruise on my left thigh to prove it. I thought I was gonna break the chair. The food was good I was supplied lots of drinks. First was a snack of peanuts. Then it was beef with rice and veggies, fruit for dessert, and a potato salad with tiny shrimp or you could have a Korean meal. After a few hours you had a choice between a banana or a roll with ground beef inside. After that was another meal of salmon Alfredo or chicken with spaghetti. I choose the chicken with spaghetti, there was salad, and raspberry cheesecake for dessert. All the food was very good. The portions were good also I was full. I slept or tried to sleep alot on the plane. There were alot of good movies on the plane and there was music to listen 2 if you so choose. Each seat had it's own TV. The bathrooms were OK I spent some time in the bathroom hiding out from my cramped seat.. KOREA: The plane lands and first you go to immigration they do whatever. Then you get your luggage. At the airport they give you those smart carts for free which is cool and convenient. Then you go through customs which if you have nothing to declare is a breeze. After customs I exchanged my money and went to go meet my recruiter. Korea reminds me of the city. It's bright and the people drive crazy and there is alot of traffic. From the airport I went to my officetel in Uiwang city. There I was to meet my co-teacher Ji-Hye or Jenny. JENNY: She is my co-teacher and so adorable. I also met her husband who is a Samsung engineer. She arranged my place very nice for me and even went to get some groceries for me. She's kind of fragile. She has come by everyday since I moved in. On Saturday she took me shopping, Sunday we went to dinner and sight-seeing and today she took me to school so I can remember the way. Her husband I assume makes good money because whenever we go out to dinner he always pays. He is very kind and likes alot of the same things I do. MY HOUSE: Reminds me of my dorm but bigger. I have all I need in that space and I am happy. The walls are not decorated but I will do so soon to make it more homey. The bed is as hard as a rock and I have no place to put my towel when I shower, but other than that I like it. MORE TO COME.....
